  • How do I get a letter of invitation for VISA requirements?
    • Email Carley Parriott (cparrio@sandia) and she will create/email it to you.
       
  • Is there a length preference for the abstract?
    • ~500 words
       
  • When does the manuscript need to be submitted?
    • October 1, 2018
       
  • Is there a page length limit for manuscripts?
    • Minimum of 3 pages, max of 10 pages
       
  • Who is publishing the Conference Proceedings?
    • American Institute of Physics
       
  • What is the length of an Invited and Contributed talk?
    • This is left to the Session Chair to decide, however generally Invited Talks are 20-30 min and Contributed are 15 min.
       
  • Do I have to pay when I register?
    • No, you can pay at a later date.
       
  • Is there a one-day registration fee?
    • One day registration is $250.
       
  • Are there reduced fees for Session Chairs or Invited Speakers?
    • No
       
  • Are there any fees for companions/spouses
    • Companion fee is $250.
       
  • Can I pay my registration fee when I arrive at conference check-in?
    • Yes
       
  • Is a smartphone app available for CAARI?

  • Are there any special requirements for uploading my presentation file?
    • Presentation files should be stored on a thumb drive and brought to the conference to be uploaded to the provided computer shortly before your session starts.
    • The accepted presentation files formats are Microsoft PowerPoint and PDF.
       
  • When do I upload my presentation?
    • Most presentations can be stored on a flash drive (make sure it is formatted for PC use) and can be connected to computers on site.
       
  • What is the required poster size?
    • Portrait Orientation - 3' Width x 4' Length.
    • The posters will be attached with Velcro which you can obtain at the registration desk.
       
  • Can I mail my poster to CAARI?
    • You are welcome to mail it to yourself at the hotel.
    • Please indicate CAARI Conference on the mailing label and it will be stored until your arrival.
       
  • Is WIFI available?
    • Complementary WiFi is provided in each guest room, in public areas of the hotel, and in the meeting areas.
       
  • How far is DFW or Love Field from the Resort?
    • DFW Airport is 6.7 miles away.
    • Love Field Airport is 19.5 miles away.
       
  • Is there a discount on daily parking for attendees?
    • 10% discount on self parking.
